Butt; Daniel passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 15 years. Daniel is survived by parents Kelly and Michelle Butt; siblings Cody Butt and Rylee Mitchell; grandparents Norm and Leni Butt and Conrad and Lucelle Beaulieu; aunts and uncles Tammy (Derrin) and Marcel (Trish); cousins Lauren and Hayden, as well as numerous extended family and many, many friends.
Born in Port Alberni, Daniel was an active, outgoing, witty, mischievous and respectful kind soul. He enjoyed school and was committed to his education. His most loved hobby was riding his bike everywhere he went – from the Harbour Quay to the wooded trails and downhill. He also had a great devotion to his sport of Kickboxing and quite recently joined cross-country running. He took great pleasure in sharing his magic tricks, had a passion for creating art and tinkering on projects. Daniel truly enjoyed his time spent on the back of motorcycles, whether it was with his dad, brother or friends. He enjoyed getting dressed up in a shirt and tie for special occasions and spent countless hours with an amazing group of great friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from Holy Family/Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road, with Father Harrison Ayre officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family expressed the wish for those that can, please donate to the BC Blood Bank during their clinics.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and nurses of the West Coast General Hospital, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and BC Children’s Hospital for their compassionate care and support during their difficult time.
