David lived in Port Alberni from the age of fourteen. After graduating high school, he started working at MacMillan Bloedel Alberni Pulp and Paper from 1949 until he retired at the age of 57. He loved being outdoors and all the activities that came with being outside; including hunting, fishing, boating, and camping, until his health started to fail. He was the owner and operator of Sports and Auto Shop in Port Alberni for several years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eagle Park, Echo Village, Dr. A. Fraser, the nurses at West Coast General Hospital, and Roxanne, his nurse next door, for all the wonderful care they provided to David.
A Memorial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory can be made to the BC Lung Association. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
