Predeceased by his parents David and Mary Stevens as well as his brother Ronald, David is survived by Elsie, his beloved wife of 53 years; children: Kathy Fredrickson (Fred), Sandi Emblem (Ron) and Jim Stevens (Leslie); grandchildren: Jamie (Shyla), Brandi (Brandon), Morgan (Chris), Chelsea, Madison and David; great grandson Dalyn as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
David worked as a logger in and around the west coast until his retirement. Not one to sit still, upon his retirement, David soon found work driving truck for the Fish Plant.
David loved the outdoors, fishing, and golfing. He also loved people and always took time to say hello or chew the fat with the people he met while he was out and about. But first and foremost, he was a family man. He always made a special point to keep in touch with his family and made a special effort to do things with and be there for his family. With David, his family knew that they were always the most important to him.
