Diane was born in Vernon, BC on January 18th, 1945. She moved with her family to Port Alberni, BC when she was three years old and this is where she would call home for the rest of her life.
She met Ken through friends that were living at her parent's boarding house. After a four year courtship they married and shortly after they bought a small farm out Beave Creek where they raised their family (and cows, chickens, pigs, and horses!) and lived for over fifty years.
Diane always had a beautiful and bountiful garden that provided food for all seasons and she worked very hard to ensure the canning cupboard and freezer were always full.
Dian was a living and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid knitter, quilter, and stitcher and perhaps her biggest legacy lies in all the many sweaters clothing, corss-stitch designs, and quilts that she made for everyone. It was her labour of love.
"One never knows the ending. One has to dies to know exactly what happens after death, although Catholics have the hopes".
Alfred Hitchcock
