It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Eleanor "Ellie" Schoenenberger after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was proud to have been born in Victoria BC on April 21, 1936 and caught her shooting star to the heavens on December 5, 2013.
She will be sadly missed by her partner in life and in music Jim Winters, her children Roland (Mary) Schoenenberger, Maria (Randy) Braden, Heidi (Ken) Bennett, Kathy (Clay) Whitfield, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She will also be missed by her sisters, brother, numerous nieces and nephews and her extended Winters family.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff, nurses and volunteers at Ty Watson House. You are all truly special people who made this journey easier & one we will never forget.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm. Tuesday, December 10th at the Italian Hall 4065 - 6th Avenue in Port Alberni.
In lieu of flowers donations to Ty Watson House would be appreciated.
