Herbert Donald Jones

Predeceased by his wife Gertrude “Theresa” and his three siblings, Herb is survived by his children: Jim (Lea), Karen Anker (Frank), Beverley Jones (Ed Grant) and Tracey Centini (Glenn Proteau); grandchildren: Teressa (Giles) , David (Lisette), Dan (Tracy) and Elliott (Rose), Jeff (Janelle) and Jason (Shay), Tim and Steven (Lisa) and Lance (Claire) and Diana; great grandchildren: Ashley, Caden, Mathias, Robert, Greg and Heather (Jeff Wolfe), Cailin, Melissa, Corey, Logan, Brody, Aaron and Ethan as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Herb spent most of his time living and working in the Alberni Valley. He worked for BC Hydro for 40 years until his retirement in 1980 and then was able to enjoy 35 years of retired life. For Herb his family was most important to him and he went out of his way to make time and create opportunities for family to get and be together. His BC Day family reunion brought extended family from all around.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens on the Alberni Highway at the junction.
