Predeceased by brothers Fred and Rupert Walton, Howard is survived by his wife Kay; children, Marian (Jim), Kathy (Roy), and Carl (Deb); grandchildren, Ryan (Amy), Jennifer (Mike), William, Eric, Brennan (Amanda), Jordan and great granddaughter Aubree.
Born and raised in B.C., Howard came to the Alberni Valley in the mid 60’s where he was a dedicated Alpulp employee until his retirement in the early 80’s. After retirement Howard and Kay spent time traveling, gardening at their property and devoting time to their family – especially to the grandchildren he loved so much.
A Tea in Howard’s memory will be held 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at 4177 Bute St.
