It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Agustin, who left us peacefully on 2025-12-01, at the age of 51, at Tofino General Hospital. Jennifer was surrounded by her loving Ucluelet family and virtually, by her immediate family in the Philippines, embracing her with love in her final moments.
Born on 1974-06-24 in Valenzuela City, Philippines, Jennifer was the beloved daughter of Felipe and Patricia Agustin. She grew up in a close-knit family, cherishing the values of compassion and togetherness instilled by her parents. Jennifer attended local schools and later earned a degree in Nursing in Our Lady of Fatime University Valenzuela City—a testament to her lifelong dedication to helping others.
Jennifer devoted her life to supporting her family and serving her community. She was a loyal employee of the Oliwa Family for 17yrs and committed volunteer at Ucluelet Catholic Church, where she found purpose in helping elders at Forest Glen and uplifting those around her with her gentle spirit. Her integrity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to family defined her character and touched the lives of all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Margarita Alvaro and Jayson Agustin, as well as her extended family and friends. Jennifer was a cherished auntie to John, Meryl, Julli, and Alysa, and her warmth and laughter will be fondly remembered by all.
Jennifer found joy in simple pleasures—watching Korea dramas, cooking delicious meals, chatting with friends, and volunteering at her local Catholic church. Her passion for life and unwavering generosity shone through in every aspect of her day-to-day living.
A memorial service and viewing in Jennifer’s honour will be held at Holy Family Church, 1663 Peninsula Rd, Ucluelet, BC, on 2025-12-08 at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories of Jennifer’s remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
Jennifer’s warmth, humour, and generosity touched everyone she met. She will be remembered always and forever cherished in our hearts.
