Predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Mary. Leslie is survived by her loving family, husband Rodney; daughter Colleen (Don) and son Kyle (Janine); Grandchildren Taylor (Willy), Reed (Sierra), Riley (Annelise), Brooke (Geoff); great grandchildren Sophie, Grace, and Bennett; sister Claire (Gary); niece and nephews Alison (Jeff), Chris (Kerri), Nathan (Jennifer); as well as great nieces and nephews Zachery, Della, and Oliver.
Leslie enjoyed many trips, from Europe to Alaska and countless places in between. Her many passions included creating delicious meals, she was famous for her Prime Rib dinners and making huge pots of chilli for her boys. Of course cinnamon buns and focaccia were the highlight of everyone's birthdays.
When Leslie wasn't in her kitchen you could find her in one of her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid gardener and turned every corner of her yard into a beautiful oasis with a unique variety of plants and flowers, most prized being her roses and dahlias. A bouquet of flowers from Leslie's gardens were always well received with the recipient often asking what florist she used.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Johnson, Dr. Sam Williams, Dr. Wendy Johnsen, WCGH Med Surg & ER staff, and lastly for the exceptional care and compassion provided by the Ty Watson staff.
As per Leslie's wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Leslie's name may be made to Ty Watson House.
