Marie Reine Henny Henriette Monette

Henny is predeceased by her husband “Jack”; brothers Richard, Dennis, Marcel and Noel. She is survived by her children, Jean (Debbie), and Guy (Cathy); 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings Madeline, Paulette, Fern and Roger as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born on the prairies, Henny and Jack were married in Saskatchewan in 1950 before moving to Port Alberni in 1951 for work and to start a new life. Henny was very active in the community volunteering for Meals on Wheels, the CWL and the Sunshine Club, as well as Ladies Auxiliary for the Eagles. When not doing for others, Henny was involved in floor curling, bowling, golfing as well as having an extensive clientele as a talented seamstress.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, March 23, 2012 from Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Rd, with Father Stephen Paine officiating.
