Mike worked in the logging industry in Ucluelet for 29 years with Millstream Timber, M&B and dePape Logging. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, coaching and umpiring little league baseball, visiting the casino and walking his dog Tucker each morning.
Mike was a great sports fan. He loved watching the Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions on TV and listening to the Bulldog’s games. Mike entered Heaven’s Gate wearing his #10 Canucks jersey where his best friend and drinking buddy, Danny dePape was awaiting his arrival.
The door to Mike’s heart was always open. He accepted and loved others unconditionally. Mike was a man of few words who liked to appear tough but his gentle heart and generous nature shone through to all.
The family will host a celebration of Mike’s life at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
Stories and remembrances may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca. In lieu of flowers donations in Mike’s memory to West Coast General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
