I first met Peter back in 1984 when I started for the City of Victoria and he was my Boss.

He was a kind man and helped many people that he met in his life.  We became friends along the way and in the end we were friends for 41 years. 

Peter and I had many adventures together over time.  We spent many hours hunting and fishing (and generally getting up to no good).

I spoke to Peter on the phone at  Christmas when he was home from the hospital - his biggest concern was that he couldn't drive for 30 days !!!

Peter you will be greatly missed by many including us - may you continue your adventures in the great beyond !

Sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I first met Peter 60 years ago when I was walking in Central Saanich. There were two motorcycles pulled off to the side of the road and as a young kid I had to strike up a conversation about the bikes and just admire them. He asked where I was going and it just so happened I lived next door to the VW Dune Buggy shop he was going to. He offered me a ride on his bike and of course I said yes. ( what 12 year old kid would say no ) I always wondered who he was for many years because when I got off his bike I burned the inside of my calf muscle. It took weeks for it to heal. Definitely a memory seared in my mind. Little did I know that it would be the start of my love for motorcycles. 20 plus motorcycles later, fast forward to September of last year. I was selling a collectible bottle and this fella came to buy it. We bantered back and forth about hunting and motorcycles. Eventually the conversation of Brentwood Bay came up. He said his wife was from there. Victoria was a classmate of mine so many years ago at Brentwood Elementary. ( such a small world) That’s when we made the connection  and both of us remembered me burning my leg. He was so personable and we hit it off pretty good. Unfortunately I didn’t get to give the Moose liver to him this year like he hoped for. Sorry Peter.

Victoria and family.  We are sorry to hear of your loss of Peter, dad, and grampa.  Going down memory lane and the fun times we all had at the property.  Lots of laughs sitting around a campfire.   You had a nickname for everyone up there.  Lots of fun memories.  One of them was the teepee firepit you made and had a bbq hanging in the inside and we did a lot of cooking on it.  Another one was when you planted a tomatoe plant at our place that produced sooo many beautiful tomatoes.  I must say we had nothing to do with it - You planted it when we were not there.  :)  I can hear you laughing about it now Peter..

Farewell grandpa Peter.. have a good time in heaven.. you will always be remembered forever and ever.. You're always in our hearts and you know that we always love you. .. from Xairia. 

"g" Dad Peter.... meeting you in Jasper will be forever one of my fondest  memory of you .. and  appreciated your trip to see us..   and all your trips here in Nanaimo will be forever cherished ... You've been an angel here on earth for Adam  and forever will be.. you're the grandpa that Xairia will remember .. i will always be grateful in meeting your family.. To Jean and family, we were saddened to learn of Peter’s passing. While it’s been many years since we’ve seen him, we remember him bringing us a fig tree for our new yard. And of course I’ll remember the many years we worked together. Our thoughts are with you and all of Peter’s family.

Dad you were one heck  of a good Man. The good times we had the laughs we had. There was so many. But the one that sticks the most  is when we went dirt biking out Sooke way what a blast or when we got shit for the transmission in the truck from moving beams at Caycuse or going up the road across the road in Caycuse hunting. So many good times. Love you Dad I will miss you and our chats till we meet again  Straight Shots and Tight Lines.   TYEEE TYEEE TYEEE
