Sanford Sandy Brian Dockendorff

Dockendorff; Sanford, Brian (Sandy) - It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our much loved Sandy on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 62 years of age. Predeceased by his parents, Chesley and Hazel, he is survived by his beloved wife Jo-Lynn Mearns, children Jeffrey, Dwight (Candace) and Adam (Pamela) Dockendorff and Jamie and Bryce (Terri) Romeril. Sandy leaves his cherished grandchildren, Jordyn, Austin and Blake, and Brayden Dockendorff, Jessie and Seth Romeril way too soon. Sandy will be sadly missed by his sister, Erma Hopkins; brothers, Danny (Heather), Larry (Georgie) and Jerry. Their tears of sadness and laughter of memories will be shared by Sandy’s numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Sandy worked in the forest industry as a heavy duty mechanic, but could fix or make just about anything. An avid outdoorsman, he was known for his unique brand of fishing and his Harley. He is best remembered for his willingness to help anyone, anytime and anywhere. But more than any of these his strength was as a patient and devoted family man.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 29th, 1-4 PM at Cherry Creek Hall. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca.
