Sean Paul McGovern

Sean Paul McGovern passed away peacefully on February 27, 2022 at Port Alberni B.C.

Paul - as he was always known - was born in Ontario but moved to B.C. when he was 16 years old looking for adventure and work. He found both and made B.C. his lifelong home. His heart was always in the mountains and the forests. Paul was a talented musician who loved reading, a lively debate and a good party, but, most of all he loved friends, family and life. He was unique, with a personality that was larger than life.

Paul was predeceased by his parents Mary (nee Warnier) and Albert McGovern and his wife Sandra (nee Tweedle). He is survived by his sisters Kathleen and Angela, his brother Bernard and his many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews.

He treasured his dear friends in Port Alberni and across Vancouver Island. Paul was a free spirit and a true friend – generous and kind. He will be dearly missed.
