August 7, 1961 – January 18, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Shelly Camponi announces her unexpected passing on January 18, 2021.
Shelly leaves behind to mourn her loving husband Vance, her children; Christie (Rocky), Stevie (Steve), Sheldan and Katlyn. Her grandchildren; Jaidyn, Kodi, Alix, her mother Loraie and pops Harvey, her siblings; Lorraine (Olmer), Tony, Moneca (Lori) and Renee as well as a number of beautiful nieces, nephews and friends.
Shelly is predeceased by her big brother Russell (Russy) and fur-children Louie & Zeva.
All those who knew Shelly understood her great love affair with nature and the outdoors. She had an amazing green thumb for flowers, vegetables, herbs and plants. She could hardly wait to show anyone visiting her home, her incredible Lilies. And they were incredible indeed! She loved biking, hiking and any opportunity to ‘be’ within nature.
Shelly loved camping, the more isolated and back to basics, the better! Her greatest outdoor love was time spent in Long Beach, Tofino. She was in awe over the power of the ocean and when walking or sitting along the beach, her heart was still and she found her bliss. She diligently watched for gifts that nature provided; birds flying overhead, shells/stones and especially feathers. Feathers were her favourite.
Shelly’s taste in music was eclectic. She loved all genres of music, but her go-to was always classics such as; Aerosmith, Stevie Nicks, Led Zeppelin, The Tragically Hip, AC/DC and the like.
Above all else, Shelly was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and loyal friend. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
