Vickie Ann McVey (Doucette) May 7, 1959 ~ March 3, 2011 After a long courageous battle with cancer Vickie peacefully passed away at home, as she wished, with her family at her side. Vickie was born and raised in Port Alberni on may 7, 1959. Vickie is predeceased by her mother and father in law Sandy and Johanna (Honey) Bristo. Survived by her loving family , husband Shane, Sons; Shawn (Ashley) Qualicum, Corey (Breanne). The apple of her eye grandson Maddex, Port Alberni, side kick and loyal friend "Dennis". Mother and Father, Harold and Dixie Doucette, Brother, Larry (Nancy), sister, Gina (Mike Jone's) Port Alberni, sister In Laws: Shelley Watson, Sandra (Warren), Lyndemann, Nanaimo, four nieces; Tamra Jones, Vicotira, Nicole Doucette, Port Alberni, Shawna Lyndemann, Dannielle (Jordon) Lyndemann, Nanaimo. Many loving and caring Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and super close and wonderful friends. One of Vickie's favorite passtimes was going to the cabin at the lake and spending time with her grandson, family, friends and "Dennis". She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. "We love you Vickie" A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cherry Creek Hall, 1pm - 3pm on Thursday March 10, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vickie's memory to the Ty Watson House, LWR - 2649 - 2nd Ave. Port Alberni.
