William Ralph Cook

He was predeceased by his loving wife Carol; parents Ralph and Bertha; sister Sharon; and brother-in-law Steve.

Bill is survived by son Carmen (Denise); daughters Caralee (Brad) and Carla (Lindsey); grandchildren, Adam (David), Jessica (Craig), Dustin (Janine), Cody (Rachel), Carlie (Mark) & Noah; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Ken (Val), sister Margaret, brother-in-law Gord; as well as extended family & friends.

Born in Vancouver, BC, Bill married Carol in 1959, followed by the raising of their 3 children while moving from Saskatchewan to Manitoba to Alberta and eventually settling in the Alberni Valley in 2002.

Dad kept busy in his church; being involved in hospice with Mom; driving a bus for various care homes, and being a help to anyone who needed him along the way. His favourite things in life were: family, babies, dogs, cats and cars.

Dad held various jobs over the years ending with Public Works in St. Albert, AB where he drove truck, trained truck drivers and eventually became a mechanic for the city.

Dad was strong in his faith and is Home now rejoicing with Mom and his family and friends in the Presence of the Lord.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing, caring staff of Echo Village where our Dad spent the last 6 years of his life. Thank you for making a home for our Dad and all of the care and compassion that was shown to him and our family.

A “family” gathering will take place at a later date.
