A. Ferold Davis

A. Ferold Davis, 79, of Englewood, Florida passed away June 6, 2018 at The Springs on South Biscayne in North Port. Ferold "Pud" was born on June 16, 1938 in Sarasota, FL, the son of William M. and Eula Davis. Pud graduated from Venice High School in 1956. On August 2, 1958 he married Patricia Adorjan of Venice, FL and they were together until Patricia passed away on November 4, 2012.

Ferold finished high school and began working at Venice Nokomis Bank. He continued developing and expanding a career in banking that lasted 46 years, including a degree in banking from the University of Virginia. In 1986, with the support and encouragement of local business leaders in the Englewood Community, Ferold founded Englewood Bank. He was the President of this bank until his retirement in 2004.

Ferold was active in the community, participating in many clubs and sitting on several committees. His ultimate goal was to improve our local community.

Ferold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He and Pat loved to spend time at their cabin in North Carolina. They enjoyed spending time antiquing and site seeing.

Ferold is survived by son and fiancé Alan Davis and Cindi Keaser; son Kevin Davis; grandchildren, Joshua, Elissa and Alex Davis; great grandchildren, Jace and Ariana Davis. He also leaves behind two brothers and their wives, Floyd and Dottie Davis; and Bill and Nancy Davis.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ferold Davis to the Englewood Historical Society (PO Box 1245, Englewood FL 34295).

Funeral services will be held at the Englewood United Methodist Church on June 16, 2018 at 2:00pm with a reception to follow at Englewood Elks Club from 3:30pm -5:00pm.
