Alfredo Austria, Sr., 80, of Port Charlotte, FL departed with the Lord June 23, 2010. Born November 25, 1929 in San Jose, Philippines, he received a Masters Degree in Horticulture and Physical Education. He came to America in 1969 and was later joined by his wife and children in 1972. Retiring in Florida in 1987, he enjoyed his passion for gardening and love of nature. A man of very few words, he imparted humble wisdom, value and deep meaning when he spoke.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Araceli; eight children, Alfredo Jr. (Susan), Eva, Edwin, Herman, Ceres, Aileen (Eric), Jimena (Marc), Winston; and eleven proud grandchildren, He leaves behind his timeless legacy of deep-rooted love, determination and unshakable family values.
