

Barbara Ann Cordova, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, in Port Charlotte, FL, on her 79th birthday. Born on June 5, 1945, in New York, Barbara's life was a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication to her family and work. Barbara's journey through life was marked by her role as a devoted single mother of four remarkable children: Barbara Jean, Harry and his spouse Diane, William, and Douglas. Her love story with the late William Fisher was one for the ages, and their bond continues to inspire her family. Barbara's legacy extends to her cherished siblings, Linda and Tommy, her adored nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward. Throughout her life, Barbara was the epitome of hard work and resilience. She took pride in her work as a bartender and waitress, always serving others with a smile that could light up any room. Barbara's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She had an eye for home decorating, creating warm and inviting spaces that were a haven for family and friends. Her flair for party planning meant that every gathering was filled with joy and laughter. Even in her leisure, Barbara found pleasure in working, for she believed in the value of dedication and the joy of accomplishment. As we bid farewell to Barbara Ann Cordova, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with her and the lessons she imparted. Her journey on earth may have ended, but her story will continue to be told through the lives of her beloved family and the many people she has impacted along the way. A gathering for Barbara will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952, followed by a celebration of life at 5:00 PM.
