Doris Jean Stevens (Elliott) June 7, 1922-November 10, 2013. Daughter of the late Nelson A. and Lucretia Elliott. Doris peacefully went Home to the Lord on Sunday Morning, leaving behind two daughters and their husbands, who she loved as sons, Leela and Rick McGowan and Pamela and George Meyer. Her sister Ruth and husband Dewey Limpert; three grandchildren, Bliss Glover and her husband, Shawn and George Meyer, three great-grandchildren, Shawn, Jr., Kylah and Caiden, as well as nieces and nephews.
Doris was greatly loved by not only her family, but by all who knew her. Her big smile and bright eyes lit up the room. She approached life with such joy. Always having something positive to say and never complaining. Doris was proud to serve her country as a W.A.C. during WWII. She definitely came to live life out loud. When life gave her lemons, she ALWAYS made lemonade.
We praise God for her life that was lived so graciously, touched many and always brought a laugh.
