Edward F. Cain, 69, of Port Charlotte, FL left this earth on June 3, 2011 to touch the hands of God. He was born January 30, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to Edward and Dorothy Cain. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Cain retired in 2006 as a Security Officer at the Joint Forces Command Center, Chesapeake, VA and moved to this area in February 2007 from Portsmouth, VA.
He is survived by his wife Patt Cain of Port Charlotte, FL; four children and five grandchildren; step-children, Tina (Mike) George of South Plainfield, NJ and Michael Collura of Greenville, TN; grandchildren, Rebecca, Olivia, Jessica, Briana and Annalesse; sisters, Kathleen Logue and Dorothy Voynick
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with inurnment to be held at a later date at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
