

Frances Scott Jellison of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on July 22nd, 2020 of natural causes. She was 94 years old. She was born and raised in Summit, New Jersey to Frank and Lena Barlotta. She later moved to Madison, NJ where she raised her seven children. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, later working for Orange Savings Bank in Madison and then for Nordling Dean in Summit, NJ. She was married to Fred Jellison in 1982.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Lena Barlotta, by her husband Fred Jellison and recently by her sister, Dr. Flora M. Barlotta.
Frances was known for her love of gardening, baseball, bowling and her sewing skills. She loved the years she spent in Florida. She learned how to play golf and bocce ball, both of which she excelled at. She loved spending time at the beach. She also enjoyed her years serving as a volunteer at Venice Hospital.
She leaves her long-time partner, Donald Winelander, with whom she lived. Also, her children – Donald Scott of DeLand, FL, Christine Olivieri of Norwich, CT, Elaine Tirella (Joe) of Forked River, NJ, Dale Logarzo (Joe) of Andover, NJ, Gregory Scott (Marianne) of Kunkletown, PA, Francis Scott of East Hanover, NJ and Stephen Scott (Lana) of Hopatcong, NJ. She leaves 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many dear friends in Port Charlotte, who always took great care of her, especially during the last year. We will always be grateful for her friends Claire, Deborah, Rita and Sally (and many others) as well as Dr. Brian Ardel and his wife Lisa.
Cremation will be private by Kays-Ponger & Uselton in Port Charlotte, FL.
There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (2500 Easy St., Port Charlotte) on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services in New Jersey will be announced at a later date with interment at St. Teresa’s Cemetery in Summit, NJ.
