He moved to the Englewood area 3 months ago from Titusville, Florida. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Senior Aerospace Technician for the Kennedy Space Center.
Gary was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union and a graduate of Sun Valley High School of Aston, Pennsylvania. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Tracey Sweet of San Jose, California, son James Sweet of Titusville, Florida; his mother, Evelyn Sides of Englewood; his sisters, Linda (Sam) Ray of St. Michaels, Maryland and Donna (Steve) Senft of York, Pennsylvania; his brother, William Armstrong of Napier, West Virginia and grandchildren, Killian, Kayla and Hayley and many Nieces and Nephews.
