He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Moving to Englewood in 1986 he worked for Circle K for 19 years, meeting and making many friends at home and from all over the world.
He is survived by his wife Cathy, daughter Shelby (Kevin) Stockdale, mother Anne Murphy, sister Marie (Paul) Lienhaas, two brothers Michael (Myra) Murphy and Shaun Murphy and two sons Michael and Timothy.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday March 6 @ Calico Jacks between 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or to Tidewell Hospice of Englewood.
