Geraldine "Jerri " C. Strunk

Geraldine, "Jerri", Strunk passed away on Thursday, September 25 in Punta Gorda. She was 86 years old. Jerri was born in Winfield, TN, raised her family in Oneida, TN, and lived there until she relocated to Punta Gorda in 2000. Jerri loved the color orange, the Tennessee Volunteers and NASCAR. She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her, but will always be remembered for her dry humor and incredible wit. She is predeceased by her husband, Fred Strunk, infant daughter, Pamela, and her siblings Edith Wise, Hobert Creekmore, Herstel Creekmore, Elsie Acres, Reba Robinson, and Murrel Creekmore.

Jerri is survived by her sister, Joan Stringer, and her children, Michael Strunk and his wife, Dorothy, Steven Strunk and his wife, Susan, and Kim Terry and her husband Bill. Jerri has four grandchildren, Steve Strunk, his wife Kate; Melissa Hughes, her husband Carlton; Bryce Strunk; and Dustin Terry. She has four great grandchildren, Madelyn and Benjamin Strunk, and Hannah and Adeline Hughes.

A memorial service is being held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23 at the First United Methodist Church on Marion Ave in Punta Gorda. The family requests that donations be made to the Charlotte County Animal Welfare League.

The family would like to thank Jerri's Private Duty caregivers, Debi Desch, Hailey Gage and Dawn Mooring for their unconditional love and support.
