She moved to the Englewood area in 1979 from Rochester, New York, after retiring from the banking industry.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole (Eugene) Peterson of Englewood, Florida and her son, E. Louis Richards of Rochester, New York; her brother, Joseph Conte of Wayland, New York and her longtime friends, Maryann and Peter DeBlasis of Nokomis, Florida. Helen left behind many friends and co-workers from K-Mart and Bealls Department Stores in Englewood.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Friday April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, interment to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
