

He was born May 23, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Jim and Anna (need Mock) Elliott. Paul served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force with the 363 Tactical Reconnaissance Group in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany during World War II.
Paul worked as a salesman for Encyclopedia Britannica Educational Corporation in New York State and Pennsylvania until retirement. He moved to Port Charlotte from Brewerton, New York. He enjoyed life fishing and vacationing on the St. Lawrence Seaway. He found a 'second vocation' as a tap dancer with the Forever Young group in Port Charlotte. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving family, son James Paul (Janet) Elliott; grandchildren Laura Elizabeth (Richard) Monroe, and Timothy Paul (Christine) Elliott; and four great-grandchildren: Madeleine and Gabrielle Monroe, and Jacob and Phineas Elliott.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, "the love of his life", Betty Elliott (married 71 years) and their son Peter David Elliott.
A Celebration of Life service for Paul Elliott will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL.
