James Michael Douglass, 67, of Englewood FL died on Aug 28, 2014. He was a decorated Army Captain, served two tours in Vietnam, was awarded the bronze star. He practiced law for 33 years in Venice, FL. In retirement, he continued to serve the community as a volunteer tutor for reading at Englewood Elementary School. He was passionate about reading, loved the game of golf, and enjoyed seeing live music, especially the Blues.
He is survived by his wife Angela, three daughters (Kristi, Shelly, and Melissa), five grandchildren (Madison, Kate, Jaxon, Lucianna, and Chaya), sister Theo, and two nieces (Katie and Rachel).
