Jerry D. Haas, age 65 of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Mooresville, Indiana and Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away October 12, 2019. He was born May 17, 1954 to Willard Dale and Mary Jane Haas in Indiana. Jerry worked for 32 years at Carrier in Indianapolis, but spent any spare time with his kids and grand kids. He loved fishing and traveling, especially to Montana. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Haas; his children, Jeremy (Megan) Hass and Justin (Barbara) Haas; his grandchildren, Sierra, Justin Jr., Conor, Gracelyn, Sophia, and Annabel; and his siblings, Janice Deckard, Linda Gasper, Mike Haas, Judy Miller, Shirley Roell, Vickie Haller, and Regina Enochs. A service for Jerry will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 4pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home; 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice House, 1144 Veronica St, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
