I met John,   14 years ago while working at First Union Bank at the Burnt Store office.  He was delivering pizza for Pizza Hut.   He was always very pleasant and personable to me while doing his banking deposit.    It was always nice to see him come by and chat for a few minutes.   I am so sorry to hear of his passing.    Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Betty and Bill, Eric and Mark - - I was so saddened to learn of John's passing this week from Linda.  I'd love to be there to share your time of sadness and be of some support, but unfortunately can't make the trip.  All my love, and prayers for blessings and peace are with you. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.Wish we could be there with you.I remember when  John, Steve & Mike traded football & baseball cards. Steve still has all of his. They still do the hot wheels also. When we came to Washington the boys had fun playing with your boys.

I met and became great friends with John in 7th grade. We shared and experienced a lot of our young lives together and I will always consider him part of my family. I have so many fond memories of playing basketball and chess with him, listening to new music and going to concerts together, and hanging out with all our friends. Through the toughest adolescent years into early adulthood, John was always a strong, loyal and dependable man, fun to be around, and blessed with a good-natured heart. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends. We love and miss you!

John was one of my dearest friends. His loss has left a hole in my heart that will never be repaired.
I am thankful that I have years worth of wonderful memories of John that can never be taken away. 
When the tears started to come as I learned of my friend's passing, those tears were quickly replaced by smiles and laughter recalling all of the wonderful times John and I shared. I think He would have wanted it that way.

 John was my friend. He left me with so many good memories
that i find myself smiling on this sad occasion. I am very blessed to have known him. I will miss him sorely, and remember him fondly. My deepest sympathies to the McDonald family.


I learned of John's passing on Saturday morning and have felt a deep sense of loss every day since. John's smile and laugh were infectious. It was impossible to spend time with him and not know that he was a genuine person with a freely giving heart and profoundly good spirit. I cannot look back on the many formative experiences I shared with John with anything other than a sense of appreciation because I knew that he was always there for me. I am thankful to have spent so much time with him and consider myself a better person for having done so. Though recent days have included conversations with David, Mike, and Matt in which tears were shed, our talks also provided an opportunity to affirm that John was the truest of friends. He is as missed as he was loved. Godspeed my friend.


P-Man......I am sorry to hear of your passing. You will never be forgotten. I will always remember the "move", loading up the Ryder trucks and heading south to Ft. Laudardale Fl. Then over the following years, hanging out drinking, smoking, and playing old school EA NHL Hockey. Getting school'd by your ass. Then returning the favor. Bringing home pizza in you banging toyota pick-up. The day you shaved your bald ass head. The 4th of July fireworks. And never forget the 2900 Block of NE 3rd Ave, Pompano Beach Florida.You the man....... the P-Man, JP
