He was the beloved husband to Michele (Lopes) Cunha for over 33yrs. Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons. Joshua J Kassed of North Kingstown, Joseph R Cunha of Pawtucket and Matthew J Cunha also of Pawtucket,3 grandchildren Trey, Jace and Adriana all of East Providence. Joe also leaves behind his beloved sister Maria J Cunha of East Providence.
Joseph worked for The United States Postal Service for over 46 yrs before relocating Florida. He was a Letter Carrier for most of those 46 yrs. Delivery Supervisor for a few years. Joe was loved by many friends , family and Postal customers. He also was served in the United States Air Force.
Services will be private in Florida. A Memorial Service will be held in East Providence this coming Spring.
