Joseph A. Desmond, 79 of Lake Suzy, FL passed away on February 14, 2008. He was born on December 21, 1928 in Boston, MA the son of Joseph and Pauline Carle Desmond. Joseph worked as a Firefighter in Boston for 36 years after he served in the US Army. He and his wife Mary, who he was married to for 56 years, moved to Port Charlotte from Boston in 1992. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2606, the Moose Lodge 2121, the American Legion Post 110 and a member San Antonio Catholic Church. Joseph is survived by: his wife; Mary, his children; Pamela Robert Burke – Braintree, MA, Paula PeterTorcicollo – Westfield, NJ, Joseph M. Marianne Desmond – Wilbraham, MA, Sean Tracy Desmond – Marshfield, MA and 9 grandchildren.
