Julia M. Blackport, 66, of Port Charlotte, FL died May 27, 2007. She was born May 14, 1941 in South Haven, MI to Russelle and Arville Shiflet. She moved to this area in 1995 from Portage, MI. Julia had worked as a cosmetologist for several salons in Michigan before getting married on Sept 1, 1961. She was talented in arts and crafts and enjoyed oil painting.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Blackport of Pt Charlotte, FL; children, Julie Wyatt of Pt Charlotte, FL; Cindy Blackport of Navarre, FL; Jeff Blackport of MI; Mary Toler of Crown Point, IN and Chris Blackport of Pt Charlotte, FL; mother, Arville Shiflet of Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Norton Shiflet of Houston, TX; and 9 grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time. The family has requested memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 13600, Tampa, FL 33681.
