
Kenneth Cheney Pease, 80 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2007. Kenneth was born on March 6, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the adopted son of Ira and Edna Peterson Pease. He was a member of the Navy Seabees and served in the Philippines and China at the end of World War II. Kenneth was married to Miriam Janet and they moved to Port Charlotte from Mattapoisett, Massachusetts in 1989. They were married for 42 years when she passed away in September of 2006. Ken was a very active member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in Americas group the Suncoast Statesmen and also lent his deep bass voice to the Charlotte Chorale. All of his life he was in real estate sales and worked at ERA Advantage Realty in Port Charlotte until he was hospitalized. He was instrumental in helping his daughter, Kimberly, open and run the Bicycle Center of Port Charlotte. Kenneth Cheney Pease is survived by seven sons and daughters; Kenneth Pease, Karl Pease, Judith Pease Leonelli, Janis Pease, Jennifer Pease Gavelis, Cameron Pease, Kimberly Pease Campanella, his sister, Mary Elizabeth Pease Battles and his twelve Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 27 Church Street, Mattapoisett, Massachusetts at 2:00 PM.
