Lorraine Bennett, 82, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away Sunday March 27, 2011. She was born January 23, 1929, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Lawley. She grew up in Pleasantville, NJ. Lorraine married Joseph Bennett her high school sweetheart. She was a devoted wife, loving sister, wonderful mother and awesome grandmother. Her greatest joy was her loving husband and family.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Dena Bennett; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Cheryl Bennett; grandchildren, Holly (Micheal) Dileo, Tara (Lawrence) Lhulier, Tiffany Sprankle and Matthew Bennett; a sister, Nancy Erkman.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 5:00 pm at the McGregor Baptist Church (Hope Building), 3750 Colonial Blvd, Ft Myers, FL 33966. A Graveside Service will be held April 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McGregor Baptist Church. Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
