Marion Gil served in the US Army Air Corp. as a Bombardier on a B-24 Liberator. After his service in the military, Gil served 26 years in the Army Map Service as a cartographer. Because of his many gifts and talents Gil worked as a Stone Mason on the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. for several years.
Marion Gil is proceeded in death by his loving wife Mary Rose Davis of 60 years. Marion is survived by his daughters Diane Tim Hawes of Baltimore, MD, Eileen Joseph Spadafora of Pt. Charlotte, his son Craig Iryna Davis of FrederickMD and his grandchildren, Paul and Brian Spadafora of Pt. Charlotte.
A memorial mass will be held Monday, February 16, 2009 at 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers family request that donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, PO Box 42, Punta Gorda, FL 33951. Kays-Pongers & Uselton Funeral Home, Pt.
