

Michael David McCollum, born January 1, 1969, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed away on January 31, 2026.
Michael was a retired union foreman who took pride in his work and the people he worked alongside. Outside of work, he lived life with passion and heart. Michael was a devoted loving husband. He loved riding motorcycles, spending time at the beach, and was a devoted dog dad. Michael also had a deep love for acting and directing where he was in the process of filming a documentary of his life.
He later made his home in Port Charlotte, Florida, where he continued to embrace the things that brought him happiness and connection.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Danielle and his son Damien.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina McCollum; his cherished grandchildren Luther, Amelia, Marley, Caroline, and Robert; his stepdaughter Christina; and his stepson, Joshua,(Amanda), his brother-in-law Chuck(Angela), his siblings and many lifelong friends. Michael's legacy lives on through his family, the memories he created, and the love he shared.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
