Miguel Maldonado Jr.

Born December 24th, 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, he was the first born son to Maria Badillo Maldonado and Miguel Maldonado Sr. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Nelida (Nellie) Maldonado, his four children, Tracy Maldonado, Stacey Rivera, Johnathan Maldonado, Veronica Maldonado; two adopted children Matthew Davila and Amira Davila. Miguel was Papa to 15 grandchildren, Samantha Torres, Michael Torres, Chrystal Carrasquillo, Serena Carrasquillo, Alexis Carrasquillo, Jenna Carrasquillo, Alex Carrasquillo, Angel Rivera, Isaiah Cintron, Johnathan Maldonado II, Anthony Maldonado, Lillian Rossell, Nikolas Maldonado, Veronica Wright, and Celeste Kurzke. 8 great-grandchildren Josiah, Alex, Christopher, Able, Mia, Hasley, Liam, Ezekiel, and 2 more great-grandchildren soon to join this world! His 3 siblings, sister Amanda Brasil, brother Bonifacio Maldonado, and youngest sister Gina Garcia. As painful as it has been to accept his departure, we will always carry his memory in our hearts. We find solace knowing that he is now at peace after leaving behind such an incredible impact on those around him.

We would like to thank the medical staff at SharePoint Health, the funeral staff at Kays-Ponger, and all of our family and friends for all of their love and support and to those who have donated in Miguel's memory for his memorial.

A visitation for Miguel will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
