

James O. Dodge, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on June 12, 2015, in the mountains of Waynesville, NC. He was raised in East Douglas, MA by Frank O. and Germaine M. Dodge. The family relocated to FL in 1963 and he graduated from Charlotte High School in 1964. James served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he spent most of his time servicing planes on the flight line. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant in 1971 and remained a member of the VFW. James retired as a Postal Manager, in 2006, from the U.S. Postal Service with 33 years of service. After retiring, he stayed active with the Postal Service as the local branch President and District Vice President of the National Association of Postal Supervisors. James was a parishioner for 51 years at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. James will be remembered for his love and devotion to God and family, his unselfish acts, and �"Jimbo’s†Lawn Service.
Survived by his loving wife of 41 years Deborah; daughters, Michelle Carter, Monica Ezzi (Tyler), Marlene Dodge (Tony) ; son, James Dodge (Sarah); grandchildren, Tyler Ezzi II, Angelina Ezzi, Nathan Ezzi, Emily Dodge, Avery Dodge, and an expected grandson in November; brothers, Frank Dodge (Mary) and Charles Dodge (Lisa); along with several nieces and nephews.
