Well angel brother we had to say goodbye yesterday. Still not believing this is real. I look at your obituary and thinks its fake. Clue you in on your service,  mom held up the best. It was amazing.  Val loves you more than you  will ever know. Sam me and peggy didnt  do  so hot.  The church was packed.  Didnt know. Well angel brother  just want to tell you i love you very much.  

It has probably taken me the longest to send this because my heart was absolutely broken when I learned Chuck had passed away so suddenly.  Chucky and Sammy as we were known in Childhood Day's fearing nothing and always doing something adventurous together.  Riding our Bikes to Town or Fishing or Swimming in the Marl Pits that Daddy told us to stay out of.  Skipping School to go Hunting at Webb or wherever and Fishing all night in El Jo Bean and struggling in School the next day but Gosh the Memories.  And then Our Law Enforcement Careers, Another Chapter.  Chuck, I was so proud of you the night you caught the Burglary In Progress at DaCosta's.  One guy swinging a pry bar at your head and another with a sawed of shotgun, but the Gibbs Boy's went home safe.  And now you are Home Chuck.  You are being reassigned to Stand Proudly at the Gates of Heaven and to Protect a much higher Power.  With ALL my Love Brother, Sam Gibbs, FHP Retired.

Sorry for your lost, you are all in our prayer. Chuck was a good neighbor. Kristina remembers how he teased her at the bus stop. Rest in peace Chuck.

My brother Chuck "Chonkwheat" was my hero. My North Star.  I'm beyond blessed by our Father God to have shared my life with him. He will forever be loved. 

I remember riding with Chuck in the late 80's and early 90's as a PGPD Police Explorer. He was always willing to let me tag along and answer any questions I bugged him with. Rest in peace Chuck and thanks for the memories. 

May you rest now Chuck.  You will be missed by all those who knew you and loved you.  Thank you for your years of service with the PGPD. Rest in peace and may the memories you created be remembered to ease the pain and sorrow of this time. Prayers to your family

Chuck is a big part of the Punta Gorda Police Department history.  All that worked with him can share great stories.  May he rest in peace.

I worked on the same squad with Chuck from 97 to 98, he was good to me my rookie year, never forgot that. RIP and God Bless you and the family, brother in blue.

Im broken and cannot be fixed, what hurts isvthst so many people told me how much you loved me.i didnt think i was that special, but now i cant hear your voice or watch gospel singers on your lap top or est off a spoon thst you were letting me taste
Some new recipes, or hear you call will wee. Now i see who loved you more.im just existing my beautiful angel brother, just existing, i have no more in me to go one.
