

Nancy Manguse Kinder, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully on February, 11th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 10, 1939 in Coldwater, Michigan to Richard and Evelyn Manguse.
Nancy earned her undergraduate degree from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana and her master’s degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Ct. She was a dedicated educator and proudly taught English for 30 years in Florida, Maryland and Connecticut before retiring from Montville High School. Her love of the written and spoken word, along with her passion for reading was evident in the thoughtful and detailed lesson plans she created for her students. She also was an excellent cook where many fine dinners were spent correcting the grammar of her sons and grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, James Kinder. They were married on June 24, 1961 and shared a life filled with love, travel and adventure. They especially cherished their retirement years in Vermont, where they enjoyed skiing, hiking, painting and drinking fine wine. They also enjoyed exploring the country together in their RV with their dogs. Nancy was also preceded in death by her younger sister, Holly Manguse Muir.
Nancy is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Michael (Mary Ellen) and Christopher (Pamela). She is survived by four loving Grandchildren, Michael, Alexandria, Nicholas and Marissa; three great Grandchildren, Landon, Gabriella and Callaway. She is also survived by her brother Peter.
