Natalie Roberts Haggerty, 94, of Venice, FL passed away March 31, 2017. She was born May 15, 1922 in Keyport, NJ and moved to this area in 1976 from Detroit, MI. Before marrying, she worked as a Secretary for the US Navy Dept in Puerto Rico from 1941-46. She attended the Church of the Palms in Sarasota and in years past, enjoyed volunteering with the Ladies Auxiliary of the then Bon Secours-Venice Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Helen (Dale) Dickinson, Hope (Bart) McFarlane and Harry Haggerty; grandchildren, Debbie Blackmon, Daniel (Jennifer) Kuntzman, Scott (Karen) McFarlane and Jennifer (Matt) Staton; great grandchildren, Seth Blackmon, Brennan, Drew and Lily McFarlane and Sami Staton. She was pre deceased by her beloved husband Homer in 1996.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm till 2:00 pm, Monday April 10, 2017 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park.
