Philomena Maggiore

Philomena Maggiore 92, of Punta Gorda FL, passed away on May 2, 2013. Philomena was born on May 8, 1920 in Cleveland Ohio, after marrying Louis Maggiore the family moved to Hollywood FL where they raised three sons. Philomena and Louis moved to Punta Gorda to be closer to their sons, being an athlete Philomena became active in the tennis community. Her tennis career spanned over 60 years. Philomena's passion was her family. She treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Philomena is survived by her three sons Dr. Joseph Maggiore, Dr. Larry (Pattie) Maggiore of Punta Gorda FL and Dr. Jay (Marsha) Maggiore of Panama City FL. Her grandchildren include Melissa Maggiore, Michael Maggiore, Matthew (Jennifer) Maggiore, Julie Cronin, Paul (Rhiamon) Maggiore, Suzanne Beavers, Casey (Lisa) Beavers and Jaime (George) Valle. Philomena's grandchildren include Luke Maggiore, Macy Maggiore, Avery Maggiore, Sophia Maggiore, Jonathan Maggiore, Isabella Maggiore, Emery Maggiore, Mason Cronin, Maxwell Cronin, and Emelia Beavers. Philomena will be missed and the memories of her cherished by everyone. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 11 at 4:00PM from the Kays-Ponger Uselton Funeral Home 635 E. Marion Avenue.
