He moved to the Venice area 30 years ago before moving to Englewood. He was the owner of Mr. P's Wholesale Clothing before retiring and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn F. Phillips of Englewood; his sons Michael Phillips and David Phillips both of Venice, Florida.
