

Robert Philip Bruglio passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, in Port Charlotte, FL, at the age of 85. Born in Detroit, MI, on April 23, 1940, Robert's life was marked by dedication, hard work, and the profound love he had for his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sandra Bruglio, his parents, Phillip and Margaret Bruglio, brother Daniel Bruglio, and in-laws Steve and Delores Popovich, Robert's legacy continues through his loving family.
He is survived by his children: Deborah Bruglio, Michelle (Steve) Flanigan, and Robert (Julie) Bruglio. His memory will also be treasured by his cherished grandchildren: Haley (Payden) Cherry, Torey (Nathanael) Vargo, Ross Bruglio, Hannah Bruglio; and four great-grandchildren: Alice, Stephen, Parker, and Liam.
A proud graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School in 1958, Robert's strong work ethic and commitment to his community were evident from a young age. In 1960, he moved to Port Charlotte where he initially served with dignity in the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, retiring in 1976. His dedication to his career continued as he joined General Development Corporation, where he expertly managed commercial properties until his departure.
In 1986 after graduating from Barber College and worked at the much-loved family-owned "Pope’s Barbershop" until 2011 when he finally retired.
Robert's memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A service will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on September 26, 2025 at 1pm.
