

Robert L. (Bob) Davison passed away on December 31, 2012. He was born in Portland, Maine on December 18, 1932 to Leo and Jessie (Varney) Davison. He graduated from Portland High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 - 1956 on the Destroyer Hazelwood, based in Baltimore, Maryland.
After his discharge from the Navy, he worked at Burnham & Morrill's in Portland until he relocated to Port Charlotte in 1973. There he co-owned B & R Lawn Service with his friend Raymond Cahill until his retirement.
Bob loved spending time with his beloved dog "Boo-Boo" in his backyard, and socializing with his friends at the American Legion.
He will be missed by his wife Bernice (Bunny) of 60 years; daughters Debra (Wayne) Cilley of Waterboro, Maine, and Linda (Lester) Cummins of Port Charlotte. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Christine Santamore, Michael Cummins, Stephanie Dery, Jennifer Riley, Melissa Cilley, Kimberly Walther, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, his sister Margaret, and long-time friend Raymond Cahill.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jessie.
the family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Tidewell Hospice center in Port Charlotte for their kind and compassionate care. We will be forever grateful.
Bob's life was celebrated in a private memorial service at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Chapel. We thank them for their assistance at this time as well.
