ROBERT HARVEY TEDFORD, SR., 76 of Port Charlotte, Florida died January 16, 2007. He was born on May 30, 1930 in Danvers, Massachusetts to John H. and Clara B. Risteen Tedford. He came to this area in 1992 from Shirley, MA. He worked as a Technical Writer for Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, MA. He was a member of the Zoomers Track Club in Shirley Grange, MA and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Port Charlotte serving as an usher and Stephen Minister. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Roberta; three sons, Timothy of Round Rock, TX, Bruce of Shirley, MA and Robert, Jr., Haverstraw, NY; daughter, Kathryn J. Lane of Port Richey, FL; two sisters, Barbara Alfast of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Evelyn Zynski of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and 6 grandchildren, Jillian, Jessica, Emily, Samantha, Ashley and Brandon.
