Samuel Zeeman, 84, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully at his home on December 9, 2007. He was born May 12, 1923 to John and Edith Moe Zeeman in Marlette, MI. Samuel served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean War. He and his family moved to Punta Gorda in 1959 from Pontiac, MI. He was the owner of Sams Tile, retiring after 30 years. He was a charter member of the Friendship United Methodist Church for 45 years, and a Past Master of the Punta Gorda Masonic Lodge 115 AF&AM.
He is survived by his children, Larry JoAnn Zeeman, Gail Ethridge and Greg Sandy Zeeman, all of Punta Gorda; grandchildren, Chrissy Zeeman of San Francisco, CA; Jennifer Rudd, Stefanie Rudd and Chad Zeeman all of Punta Gorda; sisters, Jean Limbaugh of Corona, CA and Grace Duff of N. Huntington, PA. He was pre deceased by his loving wife, Marjorie Lennox Zeeman in 1990; ten brothers, Charles, Richard, Harry, Norman, Robert, Ervin, Raymond, Jacob, Clarence and William; a sister, Ruth Lick.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Friendship United Methodist Church, 12275 Paramount Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33955. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Indian Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the church.
