Thomas M. Curtis

Thomas M. Curtis 49, of Port Charlotte passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2013. He was born April 26, 1963 in Calumet, and Moved to Port Charlotte years ago. After graduating from Calumet High School in 1981, He worked for the Water and Environmental Services until impaired by a long term illness. He attended Charlotte Vo-Tech and was a graduate of Edison Community College. He was a member of the Community Church of Calumet before moving to Florida, where he became a member of St. John the Apostle Church of Fort Myers Fl. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother Fortunate Curtis Jr. Survivors include his parents Fortunate and Nathaleen Curtis of Lac LaBelle, A brother Gale (Candy) of Lac LaBelle, three sisters Debbie (Fran) Gariepy of Dollar Bay, Susie (Kurt) Abramson of Calumet and Candy Curtis of AcWorth, Ga. Thomas leaves his companion Mark Playford of Port Charlotte FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at Kays-Ponger Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Boulevard on Tuesday February 26, 2013 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM a Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 27, at 11:00AM from the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
